Estimation of total phenolics and flavonoids content of banana pulp and peel

In this present work, the effect of variation of parts (pulp and peel) on photochemical 

compounds such as phenolics and flavonoids content of the banana flours were 

studied. The results exhibited that different varieties did exhibit significant differences 

on TPC as well as TFC which means that different sample yielded different values of 

TPC and TFC. The TPC was determined in ethanolic extracts of banana peel and pulp 

flour. The TPC was found to be about 0.40 mg/ml in banana peel and about 0.33

mg/ml in banana pulp. Thus, it is clear that the TPC was higher in the peel than in the 

pulp, while the total flavonoids content was determined in methanolic extracts of 

banana peel and pulp flour. The results showed that TFC was higher in banana peel 

(0.37 mg/ml) than in banana pulp (0.20 mg/ml).

أثر قراءة الأعمش في دراسة المعرب من الأسماء

يتناول هذا البحث" أثر قراءة الأعمش في دراسة المعرب من الأسماء" بأسلوب علميّ، متّبعا المنهج الوصفيّ التّحليليّ، ويهدف إلى بيان موقف النّحاة من قراءة الأعمش، و أثر هذه القراءة في دراسة المعرب من الأسماء، وذلك بتجيمع قراءة الأعمش ذات الأثر النّحويّ، وما قيل فيها من آراء ، لبيان أثر هذه القراءة .

               ومن أهمّ النّتائج الّتي توصّل إليها البحث:

أ ــ إسهام قراءة الأعمش في بناء قاعدة إلزام المثنّى الألف في جميع أحواله الإعرابيّة ، وهي قاعدة مبناها الخلاف اللّهجي، فهي لغة لبعض العرب، و هذا ما سيأتي بيانه عند تناول المسألة الأولى: المثنّى يلزم الألف في جميع أحواله

ب ـ إسهام قراءة الأعمش في تأييد قاعدة نحويّة وتثبيتها ومن ذلك لغة صرف ما لا ينصرف لإرادة التّناسب في قوله تعالى: ﴿ إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلَاسِلَ وَأَغْلَالًا وَسَعِيرًا﴾[الإنسان: 4] قرأ الأعمش ( سلاسلاً) بإثبات الألف والتّنوين؛ لمناسبة ما بعدها وهي كلمة( أغلالاً)..

ج ــ ما خُرِّج على القلّة ، أو النّدرة ، أو الشّذوذ: ومن ذلك قراءته لقوله تعالى:﴿ وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ﴾]الشّعراء: 210 ] ( الشياطون) بالواو رفعا في المسألة الثّانية :شبهة في جمع التّكسير.

Distribution of Potentially Toxic Elements in the City of Zintan and Its Surroundings (Northwestern Libya) by Surface Soil Sampling

The study area is the city of Zintan, in northwestern Libya, which has grown over the past

30 years. Its current population is roughly 30,000. Although the city is in part commercial, most

of the population engages in agriculture and primarily grows cereal crops (wheat and barley). The

demand of the growing city for agricultural products has increased, intensifying the use of fertilizers,

pesticides, and insecticides. Consequently, concentrations of potentially toxic elements (PTE) in

the soil have increased. To assess the soil quality (to provide a snapshot of the condition of the

soil), systematic sampling was undertaken across a grid of about 2 km  2 km. The main objective

was to determine the chemical and mineral composition of the area of interest, keeping in mind

the geological footprint of the terrain. The geologic framework itself is not conducive to elevated

concentrations of elements like U, Th, Mo, As, Hg, Pb, and Cr. Therefore, metal concentrations

greater than the amounts in the Earth’s crust are most likely of anthropogenic origin. A total of

143 samples were collected and chemical analyses were performed using a Thermo Fisher Scientific

Niton XL3t GOLDD+ XRF analyzer for the following elements: Mo, Zr, Sr, U, Rb, Th, Pb, Au, Se,

As, Hg, Zn, W, Cu, Ni, Co, Fe, Mn, Cr, V, Ti, Sc, Ca, K, S, Ba, Cs, Te, Sb, Sn, Cd, Pd, and Ag. This

paper provides examples of elevated concentrations, potentially harmful to the environment, such as

those of the following: sulfur of unknown origin (two to three times higher than the Earth’s crust

average); arsenic, given that there are no related natural phenomena (all the samples measured

displayed concentrations higher than those found in the Earth’s crust); mercury (concentrations much

higher than permissible levels); cesium (additional investigations required to determine the origin);

molybdenum; and uranium likely resulting from the use of superphosphates (concentrations nearly

always significantly higher than those in the Earth’s crust).

The impact of big five personality trait in predicting student academic performance

Purpose

The study aims to propose a predictive model that combines personality and demographic factors to predict student academic performance (SAP). This research study works on understanding, enhancing and applying techniques to enhance the prediction of SAP.

Design/methodology/approach

The authors gathered information from 305 university students from Al-Zintan University Libya. The study uses a survey questionnaire to collect data on essential variables. The purpose of the questionnaire is to discover variables that affect students' academic performance. The survey questionnaire has 44 closed questions with Likert scale designs that were distributed to a variety of college students at the start of the first semester of 2022. It includes questions about demographics, personality, employment and institutional aspects. The authors proposed a predictive model to identify the main fundamental components, consisting of one dependent variable (SAP) and five independent constructs. The suggested model is tested using partial least squares (PLS) and structural equation modeling (SEM), which perform better than covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM). PLS-SEM performs well with smaller sample sizes, even for complicated models.

Findings

The study results show that the proposed model accurately predicted the student's academic performance. The personality trait variables are a key factor that determines the actual student's academic performance. The student's academic performance is significantly impacted by each variable in the personality trait variables as well.

Originality/value

The process of validating research was done empirically through the accuracy and efficiency of model performance. The study differs from previous studies in that it accumulated a wide range of factors from different dimensions, including student demographics and personality trait factors. The authors developed a structural equation model to predict students' academic performance.

Abstract

Plastics have an important and vital role to play in today’s life. While there is no industrial product without one type of plastic, the increasing volume and accumulation of Plastics waste and the damage it does to human beings and the environment has led to growing concerns in the world. The increasing and accumulated volume of plastic waste has resulted in damage that has filled the world’s continents, seas, and oceans by containing unresolved polymeric and chemical materials. Then he sorted some waste and found a plastics ratio of about 30.4% of the total household garbage. The results also showed the number of individual waste products at 0.023 kg/person. / Today. The amount of waste. Produced per year is 21,718 tons. The volume of plastics is estimated at 6.602 tons per year. Vegetation close to the landfill site was also affected, leading to its removal

The distribution of the ABO and Rhesus blood groups among diabetes mellitus patients in Alzantian City, Libya

In a literature review, many studies have discussed the potential link between ABO blood groups and the risk of developing certain illnesses. This study aimed to investigate any association between ABO blood groups and diabetes mellitus (DM) at the endocrinology and Diabetic center of Al-Zintan City. The study was conducted from October 2022 to December 2022 and included 144 participants, 99 of whom were diabetic patients and 45 were non-diabetic healthy controls, with ages ranging from 15 to 85 years.

The study results indicated that there was no association between the ABO blood group and the Rh blood system with diabetes mellitus. It was observed that the O blood group had the highest frequency among diabetic subjects at 49%, followed by group A at 34%, group B at 11%, and group AB at 5%. In terms of the Rh system, Rh+ frequency was higher (88%) than Rh- (11%) in diabetic participants.

The distribution of diabetes mellitus between genders showed no significant difference, with 46% male and 53% female participants. In conclusion, this study confirms that there is no association between ABO/Rh blood groups and diabetes mellitus patients at the endocrinology and diabetic center in Al-Zintan City.

أثر تكنولوجيا المعلومات على تسويق الخدمات المصرفية

      هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر تكنولوجيا المعلومات على تسويق الخدمات المصرفية. حيث تمحورت مشكلة الدراسة في طرح التساؤل الآتي: ما أثر تكنولوجيا المعلومات (المكونات المادية، قاعدة البيانات، البرمجيات، شبكات الاتصال) على تسويق الخدمات المصرفية. واعتمد البحاث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال وصف وتحليل متغيرات الدراسة، وتم استخدام اداة الاستبيان كوسيلة للحصول على المعلومات، حيت تم توزيع (38) استمارة، الصالح منها للتحليل (35) استمارة، وتم تحليلها باستخدام برنامج الحزمة الاحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية ((SPSS.

      توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود قصور في الإدارة المختصة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات في متابعة التطورات في تقنية الاتصال، واهمال تحديث وتطوير البرامج بشكل دوري، كما لا يعتمد المصرف على كادر وظيفي متخصص ومدرب في استعادة البيانات في حالة توقف قواعد البيانات عن العمل نتيجة مشاكل الكيان المادي او البرمجي. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة إقامة البرامج التدريبية للموظفين بشكل دوري في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات لمواكبة التطور السريع والمستمر في هذا المجال، والعمل على تحديث البرامج بشكل دوري من قبل الإدارة المختصة، ومعالجة القصور في البرامج المصممة من اجل تلبية سياسة المصرف التسويقية.

المرابحة الاسلامية وتأثيرها على ربحية المصرف ( دراسة تطبيقية على مصرف الوحدة فرع الزنتان )

هدفت الدراسة الى بيان ومعرفة اثر المرابحة الاسلامية على ربحية مصرف الوحدة ( فرع الزنتان ) وذلك باستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي عن طريق الدراسة الميدانية والاستبيان حيث اظهرت النتائج ان هناك علاقة ذات دلالة احصائية عند مستوى معنوية ( 0.05 ) بين بيع المرابحة الاسلامية وربحية مصرف الوحدة ( فرع الزنتان ) .

اما اهم التوصيات التى توصلت اليها الدراسة فهى ضرورة التوسع فى توظيف الموارد المالية للمصرف من خلال تفعيل صيغ التمويل الاخرى مثل المضاربة والمشاركة وغيرها وهو ما يؤدي الى زيادة ارباح المصرف بشكل اكبر .

Inventory and study of some annual plant species in the City of Zintan حصر و دراسة لبعض الأنواع النباتية الحولية داخل مدينة الزنتان

Summary

This study was conducted during the months of February and March of the year 2023 within the Zintan city plan.

of which.

then, he counted (56) species of naturally growing annual plants.

these species belong to (45) genera distributed over (22) families.

the results also showed the life forms of species present in the study area, where the number of above-surface plants was (3) with a percentage of (5.3%).

) and the number of terrestrial plants (1), with a rate of (1.8%), and the number of semi-terrestrial plants (10) species, with a rate of (17.9%), while the largest number was seasonal plants (therophytes, which reached (35) species, with a percentage of (62.5%) and based on the number of plant species, four species were dominant in the study area, which is the most abundant species (asteraceae), with (13) species, followed by (brassicaceae) represented by (8) species, then poaceae).

it is represented by (6) types of annual plants, followed by the leguminous family (faboidceae), which is represented by (5) species.

it was also found that perennial plants are represented by (13 species), and annual plants are represented by (43 species) belongs to Mediterranean Sea.
