The activities of the First International Conference on Humanities and Applied Sciences: Reality and Ambitions were launched on Monday morning, 29/4/2024. With the participation of more than 150 researchers from several international and local universities, researchers from Arab countries participated: Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Bahrain and from several Libyan universities, most notably the University of Benghazi, which participated in an exhibition of art and art photos from the Department of Art Education. This grand ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Omran Al-Qaib, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, accompanied by the President of the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies, the President of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research and the Director of the Minister's Affairs Office. The President of the Conference, Dean of the Faculty of Education, gave a welcoming speech to the guests and participants, and the President of the University gave a speech in particular and a speech also to the Minister, then the Minister was briefed on the sidelines of the conference on the book fair organized by some publishing houses and the art exhibition held by the University of Benghazi. After that, permission was given for the start of the scientific conference sessions and the presentation of the participants to their working papers, which will continue until tomorrow, Tuesday. Finally, we thank the Preparatory and Scientific Committee of the Conference and The conference and to the sponsors and sponsors of the conference, Nafusa Oil Operations Company, Dar Al-Food Company and the Open University of Libya.
